Crew Review of "Monon Center Water Park in Carmel"

***Crew Review***

The water park of the Monon Center in Carmel is a great spot to entertain your crew!   There are pools, slides, a lazy river, diving board, and splash zones for the bigs and littles in your group!  We loved the many options for our crew to play, or sit and relax, if that makes your agenda.

Fees do vary throughout the season and some late-season specials are run.  Typically, Adults are $8 and Children 2 and older are $5 daily.  Season passes and punch passes are available as well.

We were a little unclear on the hours of operation from their website, but what we learned is that the park closes at 7PM Sunday-Wednesday and 8PM Thursday-Saturday.  What's great, is that from late July through August 8 (as of 2011), there are reduced "Late Fees" where the admission prices go to $4 each for adults and children on the last two hours of operation!  What a fabulous way to enjoy the park and save some bucks!
*Hours do vary later in the season, so please verify before you go!*

Our friend Lydia tells us that you can also buy a 10-visit punch pass at the rate of $4 per child.  She mentions that it's another savvy way to save some money and be able to get in for a longer visit, as opposed to the late-day option.

It is a spectacular place to spend the day, a few hours, or as we saw another group, have a birthday party!  Their website even advertises large-group water park rentals for churches, reunions, or company functions.  We can't wait to go back and wear ourselves out!

This is very kid-focused for sure!
Zero entry pools with fountains, water play sets, and small slides give many options for younger children.

The deep end!
Older kiddos were lined up for the diving board and drop slide.  Cannon ball!

The slides!
Climb the hill and choose the red or the blue slide to make your way down to the bottom.  Use a raft on one or body slide on the other.  Swimmers do have to stand 48" tall to make a splash on this part of the park.

The Lazy River got my attention for most of the trip!
Grab an inner tube, sit back, and enjoy a relaxing ride through this nicely landscaped area.  Our entire crew was very content being lazy on this river!  How many times can you go around??

Several concession stands and food carts were available for snacks and meals.  We loved that there were plenty of places to enjoy your food, such as at the tables or lawn spaces.  Brown bag it or buy it, the choice is yours!

We give the Monon Center water park two thumbs up from start to finish!  Tons of lifeguards for safety, gorgeous facilities, plenty of chairs and tables, life vests for younger swimmers, and clean, clean, clean!  We'll be back soon!
